Please attend our next exciting presentation where you will find out what SLAM is and how it is affecting your life in Alaska. Join us for information about ongoing digital initiatives that the State Archives and Records has been conducting on past and future digitization projects. Mr. Brown will explain the challenges faced with such a large project and how he met and overcame various challenges converting to a digital world from various media types.
Bio: Mr. Brown has honed the discipline of managing electronic records for over 10 years. He has a degree in Digital Management & Preservation from the University of Glasgow. He has worked in records and information management in several settings including a Scottish Council (US County-equivalent), University and now State government. He is responsible for the strategic direction of records and information management for the State of Alaska and is currently involved in records retention projects including email and payroll records. He is currently a CRM candidate.

Facilitator Biography: Pam Hanneman started eDocsAlaska, Inc. in 2000 to provide document management consulting services to businesses throughout Alaska. After years of performing requirements analyses, designing solutions, and comparing software products for customers, eDocs became a reseller of Laserfiche Enterprise Content Management software in 2003 and has been exclusively implementing Laserfiche solutions since that time.

What to Know About Monthly Meetings
Our monthly meetings provide an excellent opportunity to develop your records managment knowledge and skills, while networking with colleagues and friends. The ARMA Board meets prior to the monthly meeting (11am), and all members are invited to attend. We hope to see you soon!
Meetings are usually “Brown Bag” lunches with an educational presentation. Complimentary coffee, tea, and water service is always available. So bring your lunch and we will see you there!
Monthly Chapter meetings are FREE.
Parking is also FREE and Plentiful.
Suggestions for program topics, content, and/or speakers are ALWAYS welcome.
